The Calgary RASC StarSeeker is published by Carole Benoit to bring members and the public up to date with excellent articles and Calgary Centre information. Plus..
  • The RASC Calgary Centre contact list
  • Calendar of upcoming events
  • Volunteer information
  • Scopes for Rent program
  • and more...
The StarSeeker always needs articles and pictures. You got 'em, we need 'em. Digital pictures are best, either unusual sky shots, or pictures of activities at Centre events. Our print quality is pretty basic, so shots of subtle grey fuzzies aren't the best. When submitting articles, it is best to submit images separate from the article, i.e. not embedded in a Word document (Word, or plain text is the best for the article itself.). When the images are separate, I can reduce their resolution appropriately so the online version of the newsletter is not too large, or make them into negatives for better reproduction. Also, don't bother with fancy formatting of the articles - that usually has to be removed.

The deadline for the StarSeeker is the third Thursday of the preceding month.
Any stories or articles with an astronomical slant will be gratefully accepted, so please send them in.
